Welcome to the first of many weekly entries of Letters of Gratitude! This series is a journal of letters chronicling some of the joys of my life, for which I’m grateful. I find it a wonderful practice to find the blessings in life, big and small, to keep an optimistic perspective. I receive many graces everyday, and I’m sure that you will see them in your life, too, if you look. Enjoy!
Dear Shreck, spontaneous date nights are fun and delicious! Dear Wasabi, your Habachi is an amazing dinner, and Bing, you make us smile every time we sit at your grill. Isn’t the onion volcano awesome? Dear pretty straws, you bring a pop of cheer to every beverage. I love that you are reusable, AND I got you brand new from Goodwill for $1.00. Dear weather, you’ve been cold and rainy, but I am excited that the grass is greening up! Come on, Spring!
“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”
- Gilbert K. Chesterton
