Welcome to the first of many weekly “Inspire Me” posts! In this series you’ll find what is currently inspiring me, and I hope that you’ll be inspired in one way or another. The theme for each week could come from anywhere… a song, movie, book, person, conversation, event, photo, building, pattern, fashion, place, emotion, animal… anywhere. I sincerely hope that you enjoy!
The inspiration for this segment of Inspire Me comes from the movie, UP.

This movie is one of my all-time favorite movies. The entire movie speaks to me with a beautiful love story, spontaneous and grand adventure, fun and sweet characters, bright color, and whimsy. I especially love the point that everyday life is an adventure, especially when we share it with people we love.
Flying in a hot air balloon has been on my “Adventure List” since I was a little girl, and what would be a more awesome balloon than the UP balloon?!

This amazing balloon was created for Disney by Exclusive Ballooning, and it looks like it was only a promotional balloon and not for rides, but I still love it. Imagine all of the awesome shapes in the clouds you could find from a leisurely float in a hot air balloon!
Writing for myself is quite therapeutic, and writing to others is a wonderful sentiment. This beautifully crafted journal and stationary set, featuring vintage hot air balloons, is a great way to cover both!

I adore that the front of the journal says, “Flights of Fancy,” a journal after my own heart! This set was made by JoyMerryman on Etsy.
Of course the love story is the heart of Up! What better inspiration for an engagement photo session than this movie?

This is a thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed photo session by Wildflowers Photograpy, and a treasure for the couple to cherish as they grow old and have more adventures together. I would very much enjoy doing a photo session like this with Shreck, just for fun! Be sure to visit her website for all of the photos- they are breathtaking!
Up is also great inspiration for a nice gift for someone who could use a little lifting of their spirit. Join me this week as I show you how I put together a personalized gift of cheer for a dear friend who recently lost a loved one. She would certainly appreciate something to lift up her spirit. Perhaps, it’ll give you some inspiration of your own for a thoughtful gift for someone you know.
