Dear Sarah & Jeff, thank you for choosing me and Shreck to be the new stewards of your house out of the six applications you received. We are honored and thrilled to have a new home. I’m not sure who is more excited about having a yard, again- Shreck or Brodie. Dear Shreck, thank you for all of the hard work you do to provide a nice living for us, and for the extra work to secure us a cute new place to call home, along with beginning the preparations for transporting our belongings. I am so grateful for you. Dear Brodie, thank you for being mind-blowingly cute, super smart, and incredibly patient with us and apartment life. I can’t wait to throw a ball for you in our new backyard. Bring on the sun! Dear sailor’s knot bracelet, you are fun to make and wear. I smile every time I see you adorning my wrist. Thanks for being my favorite project in a long time. Dear Carl & Company, returning to the stage was fun and refreshing after a few weeks off. It’s always fun to rock the house with such talented musicians and kind-hearted people. Thank you. Dear Cafe d’Mongo’s Speakeasy friends, I missed you. Your warm welcome, enthusiastic smiles, and big hugs made me feel loved and special. You are a joy to see every week!
Shreck and I found a new home, which is much closer to his workplace and suitable for our active lifestyle. In July, we will be the new stewards of a cute ranch home with a lovely backyard! Now, begins the journey of moving… again. Since graduating high school, I haven’t stayed in one place for more than 18 months (I counted 15 moves in 10 years), so we have decided to have professionals load, transport, and unload our belongings- hooray!
“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”

*Photo story: This photo is of a sticker on the door of the bar where Carl and Company plays every Friday and Saturday as the house band. Ryan Gosling visits the bar when he is in town, as he is a friend of the bar owner. Currently, Ryan is filming his new movie How To Catch a Monster in Detroit. A friend from the bar makes these “Save Detroit” stickers, and, now, Ryan is immortalized on them. Pretty cool stuff- especially when Ryan does a little entertaining on the piano.
